It totally blocks the sun through the window unlike stick on or roller shades which always seem to let in the sun into the child's eyes thought the little gap left! This one doesn't. Expensive but well worth the money to stop your little one squinting.

The only downside is they cannot see through it very well..but it is easily removed and put away if you need to.
