What we like about the Cabriofix.

The Cabriofix is a seat designed for newborns up to about a year (13kg), this has an option of a separate base (either Isofix or non Isofix), designed to be left in the car.

The Cabriofix can be used as a baby carrier outside the car. It can use Isofix mounts (with a support leg) or the three-point seat belt to locate the base in the car. When the base is being used it is easy to install with clear instructions. There are also colour coded safety indicators to show it’s properly engaged in the base. Crash stability is excellent and it protects children well in front and side crashes.

It’s well padded and offers good leg support, and the shell is big enough to accommodate larger babies.

Pros: Good clear instructions and easy to use. Light weight car seat means it’s easy to carry baby around outside the car. Good crash stability.

Cons: Child’s view is poor. Seat cover must be hand-washed.
